Peggy Osterkamp is dedicated to fibre weaving art. She presents a wealth of weaving knowledge and research, much of it never available before in the United States. At the same time, she is a writer.
In her blog she doesn't particularly emphasise the concept of her work, she focuses more on the technique of fibre and the use of different materials. For example, she uses cow hair and horse hair to weave a piece of fibre, and tie-dye is used in the material.
When I saw her work, I would feel the gentle, soft breeze running through my body. Her work kind of like mental massage gladden my mind. In contrast to the Gabriele Meyer‘s work, the power of Peggy's work is understated. If both artists' works were in front of me, the first one that attract me would be Gabriele Meyer's, but I would stand longer in front of Peggy's work to read more deeper stories and meanings.
So, I want my work also not too pompous. Rather, it is a single technique, a single material that speaks softly.
