After I went to Tate Morden to see what other artists represent their work in a "Bubble way ". I noticed Marisa Merz‘s work. The shape of her work is really like the Bubble. And her way of waving inspired me, The nylon is firm, which facilitates the flow of blanks when knitting and also facilitates shaping, and I can also use metal to do some knitting.so I made some tests of metal wire knitting. So I imitate it to sketch.

In order to show this effect, I choose to use the wire to knit.
While doing this test, I solved these problems
1. How do I crochet multiple rows of metal?
2. How to form a closed loop at the beginning and end?
3. How do I turn 2d into 3d?

4. How can I extend outwards and close inwards?
5. How can I link inwards and outward?

Insight
I learned that when expanding outwards, the metal wire should be slackened a little and the gap should be left wider. When tightening inwards, the crochet hook should be more forceful and leave a smaller gap.
To solve the problem of closure, I believe that the gap units should be reduced. So I threaded two units into one crochet stitch, reducing them row by row.
After completing the closure, I found that the one thread left behind could change the shape of the piece as it expanded and contracted, which, I thought, was a great way to interact with the viewer.

Insight:
When I saw the shadows reflected on the table, it was as if I saw that the shadow was a two-dimensional representation of three and that the depth of the shadow determined the distance in space. Shadow is also a good way to represent delusion. As I mentioned conceptually, our perception of things should be like bubbles, like shadows.
The ending line can change the shape of the work. This can be a way of interacting with the audience and a source of increasing the plasticity of my work.
Reflective Statement.
I think it's a good way to show bubbles, but I should have experimented more with the form. So for the next edition, I will experiment with different patterns and different thread thicknesses.
